EMPRESS RDBMS Now Available on SGI® Altix 3000 64-bit Linux

Beltsville, MD, May 12, 2003 - Empress Software announces availability of the EMPRESS Embedded RDBMS V8.62 on SGI Altix 3000 systems that use Intel Itanium 2 processors and the 64-bit Linux operating system. The EMPRESS Embedded RDBMS on SGI systems running 64-bit Linux further extends the list of software development tools and runtime components available to high performance SGI customers for cross platform application development on IRIX and 64-bit Linux as well as UNIX, Windows and real-time platforms.
EMPRESS RDBMS is a high-performance database engine for embedded applications.
